Description

The Exploring Peruvian Arts and Crafts course is an engaging and enriching program designed specifically for elementary students to immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural heritage of Peru. This course aims to introduce young learners to the diverse array of traditional Peruvian arts and crafts, encompassing textiles, pottery, painting, and sculpture. Through hands-on activities, discussions, and exploration of historical context, students will not only develop practical skills but also cultivate an appreciation for cultural diversity and artistic expression.

Throughout the duration of this course, students will embark on a journey through Peru's rich artistic landscape. They will explore the significance of colors, patterns, and materials used by artisans across different regions of Peru, including the Andes, Amazon rainforest, and coastal areas. Each session will incorporate storytelling elements that highlight the cultural narratives behind each craft, fostering a deeper connection to the material.
